Foreword: On January 12, 2016, China Security & Fire Co., Ltd (CSF) and Sugon Information Industry Co., Ltd (Sugon) held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony at Beijing Guest House International Hotel. The agreement indicated that the two parties have established a primary strategic partnership in order to pave a sound cooperation base for their strategic layout and development in national smart cities.
Currently, with China’s sustained economic development and national strength, urbanization has accelerated, and the number and scale of cities have increased. Although urbanization has brought about prosperity and convenience, the flipside are the myriad problems that come with it, such as environment issues, traffic problems, insufficient resources and security risks. To resolve these issues, China is actively promoting development of smart cities, driving in-depth integration of modern information technology and urbanization through overall planning and information guidance, to effectively improve problems faced by urban development and promote continuous development of cities.
On January 12, 2016, CSF and Sugon officially signed the “Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement” on Smart City Ecosysstem Partnership (“Framework Agreement”) at Beijing Guest House International Hotel. In accordance with principles of complementary advantages, equality, mutual benefit, cooperation and win-win, and based on good faith, the two parties reached a consensus in many sectors, including smart cities, urban public safety, big security investment, system integration and cloud computation services. ?At the signing ceremony, Zhou Xia, CSF’s Vice Chairman & President, and Nie Hua, Director of Sugon & Senior VP of Sugon Cloud Computation Technology delivered speeches, commended others in the industry, and agreed to develop deep and long-term strategic cooperation in smart cities, hardware and cloud computation fields nationwide (including but not limited to urban public safety and overall security). According to this strategic cooperation, the two parties will capitalize their respective advantages, establish entire industrial chain ecosystems covering upstream and downstream partners through “smart cities 1+1” cooperation, strengthen competitiveness, promote project implementation and aid performance growth.
?The “Framework Agreement” specifies that the two parties will first drive cooperation through existing projects, and explore and establish cooperative models that satisfy their practical needs and conform to their operational statuses, during practical project progress. The two parties will plan nationwide industrial layout for smart cities and cloud computation services along with Sugon’s experience in high-end computation services and resource advantages of existing ten “city clouds”; integrating CSF’s capital, planning, integration, project construction management and customer relationship in smart city construction advantages. The two parties will launch characteristic services that include strategic smart city big solutions, consultation and planning, top-class design, overall project implementation and maintenance, and vertical industry solutions for smart cities in a new model of “operation + service” for governments, enterprises and public users. They will develop and establish an innovative service model, and research and explore massive Big Data in City Cloud Centers, for analysis and decision making by industries.
The signed “Framework Agreement” indicated official commencement of “CSF Smart Cities Ecosystem Partnership Strategy”. In future, CSF will continue to develop strategic cooperation with top domestic IT and technology companies in this industry, push planning and implementation of projects in fields like smart cities and safe cities, establish and develop a partnership ecosystem covering overall industrial chain, and enhance enterprise competitiveness through resource integration and capital operation.
After signing the agreement, CSF and Sugon will become strong partners in smart cities, city public safety, big security investment, system integration and cloud computation services. Implementing the agreement smoothly is expected to have a positive influence on CSF’s performance in 2016 and in future.
